What is inside
- Two 50 g glass jars of your choice from Lakadong Haldi, Kali Haldi and Swarna Haldi Doodh Mix
- Shubhavni Kesar, 1 g, grown indoors at our own facility in Mainpuri
- A punchmukhi borosilicate glass diya, to light on the day
- All of it in our premium glass box, which is worth keeping long after the spices are used
Why it makes a good gift
- It is not dry fruit and it is not mithai. Kesar and haldi are in every Indian kitchen, and almost nobody gives the good version of either
- Every jar says where it comes from and how it was ground
- The Lakadong haldi and the kesar have published lab reports you can read on our website
- Made by the twenty-five women who work with us in Mainpuri, from drying and sorting to packing
Choosing your two jars
- Lakadong Haldi, for everyday cooking. Single-origin turmeric from the West Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, stone ground at low RPM
- Kali Haldi, for someone who likes something unusual. A different plant from yellow haldi, camphorous and bitter, used a pinch at a time in warm milk or kadha
- Swarna, for someone who will use it every evening. Lakadong haldi, kesar and nine spices for haldi doodh, half a teaspoon into warm milk
